Road landscape is the reflection of the overall appearance of a city and directly influence the evaluation on the living quality of the city. Due to the rapid construction of urban roads and the continuous deterioration of the air quality, the hazy weather has become worse and the biodiversity can’t get protection. Therefore, the improvement of the urban road environment has become the urgent problem to be solved. From the ecological perspective, this paper has conducted research on the specific urban road landscape space design and made a further discussion on the urban road landscape ecologicalization by combining the relevant cases. It summarized the conception of urban road landscape design, introduced the method and content of the ecological design of urban road landscape. It mainly verify the above design methods by combining the real case of the road landscape design of the Third Ring Road in Changshu City, and explained the optimizing strategy and refere
