Three levels of N, P and K were designed. The results showed that t reatments N3P3K2 and N3P2K1 had the highest resistance to red??ba nded thrips, with the damage index 3.10% and8.30% respectively, which were significantly lower than those of other treatme nts. Treatment N3P1K3 and N2P3K1 also showed higher resistance, wit h the damageindex 20.40% and 20.30% respectively. Treatments N1P2K2 showed the lowes t resi stance to red??banded thrip, with the damage index 54.00%, which was significant l y higher than those of other treatments. The damage of red??banded thrip on diff e rent orientation of a plant was not different, which indicated that light densit yhad no significant effect.
