Abstract Freedom is not only a focus of the philosophy of Bergson , But also is the focus of attention of French philosophy at Twentieth Century. Its predecessors abstract discussion of different subject freedom .However, Bergson focused on the individual s specific freedom Which extends the realm of freedom in philosophy. He thinks, freedom is a fact．and its premise is specific of the real self. Concrete living self is specific duration. Rolling tension for individual freedom provided power, and the action more and deeper self consistent with more freedom. Therefore the human freedom is the degree of difference He put the freedom in to his life system and human society through the duration later, as the nature of consciousness and life．Different life rank the different levels of freedom because of their ownership of the consciousness, Human is the level of the top, as the highest bearer of the life freedom . In fact, the human is not necessarily to be free, because they are in the community, there are a lot of resistance. When the impulse of life is defeated by the matter , Human society will be in a closed society with losing of freedom. When the impulse of life over matter, Human beings will be in an open society which can be temporarily free. So human have to struggle for the freedom . Human society also has the existence of different degrees of freedom .The most ideal state is an open society. But the open society is not the latest free state, it is a closed society’s starting, and the beginning of the struggle for freedom. So, Bergsons freedom is a fact, a kind of behavior; This was followed by an otherness and duration; and a kind of spirit.
