英语专业教学中中国文化意识培养 　　提 要：“中国文化失语症”是现在大学生在英语学习和交际中普遍存在的一种现象。本文以我校实施的文化教学改革为基础，报告教改过程。我们将《阅读中国》引入英语专业2年级的阅读教学，目的是通过加入有关中国文化的英语读物学习，让学生既能学习英语知识，又能掌握和了解中国文化。我们对本次教改收集了数据，研究方法有问卷、测试、访谈等形式，分别在教改前后进行。两次问卷的相关数据差异表明，通过教改，学生对文化的认识有了进一步的提高，尤其对中国文化的学习有了迫切的要求。测试结果表明，教改对学生中国文化英语表达能力的提高有帮助。访谈发现，学生的中国文化意识有了提高。通过教改认识到，英语教学还要注重学生中国文化意识的培养。 　　关键词：中国文化失语症；中国文化意识；《阅读中国》； 教学改革 　　中图分类号：G115 文献标识码：A 文章编号：1000-0100(2011)03-0148-3 　　 　　On the Cultivation of Chinese Cultural Awareness in the Teaching of English Majors 　　― A Report of the Cultural Teaching Reform Based on the Using of Read about China 　　Guo Jia 　　(Changzhi College, Changzhi 046011, China) 　　English learners often have Chinese Culture Aphasia in their process of language learning and communication, therefore, we have conducted a cultural teaching reform, in which Read about China, a book containing reading materials on Chinese culture, is taught as a complementary material for English majors in their sophomore year, aiming at helping them to learn the language and to enrich the knowledge of Chinese culture. The research methods include questionnaires, tests, and interviews. Data were collected before and after the reform. The differences between the data of the questionnaires show that the students’ cultural awareness is cultivated, especially their eagerness to learn Chinese culture, through the reform. The results of the students’ performance in the pretest and the after test show that the reform is useful in helping to improve students’ language ability of expressing Chinese culture in English. The interviews find that the students’ Chinese cultural awareness is strengthened. Through this reform, one realization is reached that in the process of ELT the cultivation of Chinese cultural awareness should be paid attention to while the cultivation of intercultural communicative competence is always one of our focuses, and that the teaching of culture should be conducted in a broader sense which covers cultures of the nati
