华 中 科 技 大 学 硕 士 学 位 论 文 II Abstract With the development of the technology, the electronic products upgrade and update more frequently, and Chinese electronic manufacturing industry suffers increasingly fierce competition. Someone says that the market competition has changed from the competition between enterprises to the competition between supply chains, while the control of dead inventory is a directly inspection of the supply chain. How to prevent and reduce dead inventory is the key to the sustainable development of electronic manufacturing industry. On the other hand, decrease of dead inventory is an action respond to the requirement of Green Economy and Energy Saving advocated in the twelfth Five-Years Plan. Based on the analysis of data from channels, the paper analyses the reasons why dead inventory is produced by electronic manufacturing industry from RD, production and uncertainty of supply chain three aspects. In supply chain perspective, propose concrete steps to reduce dead inventory in definitude market demand, understanding of relevant policies, grasp the product life cycle, establishing overall supply chain concept, introduction of ERP management tools and use of ABC classification, etc. Overall introduce and analyze the merits and faults of 9 mature dead inventory handling, also briefly introduce the three major electronic product manufacturers in China dead inventory handling, and summarizing four key points, for different information technology or economic ability manufacturers to choose in terms of their own characteristic and establish relevant measures. At last, combining with the R Electronics’ background and dead inventory produce, management and handling, systematically offer reference and experience for electronic manufacturing industry dead inventory management optimization in theory and fact the two aspects.
