Abstract The research of folk culture in teaching Chinese as a foreign language The research of folk culture in teaching Chinese as a foreign language Abstract Folklore culture is custom living culture of folk, which is a kind of custom living habit that created, shared and inherited by people who belongs to one country, nation and area. Every foreign Chinese teaching link is permeated and covered by folklore culture element. This proves folklore plays an important role in foreign Chinese teaching. However, folklore research on foreign Chinese teaching is not good enough. Yet there are more problems need to be solved on textbook compilation, teaching practice and quality of teacher. Three parts are included in this paper. First part is introduction explaining the reason why author chose this topic and summarize of related document. Second part contains 3 chapters, among which the first part sketches concept of culture and folklore culture, features of folklore and common sense of foreign Chinese teaching. Next chapter is research situation and analysis of folklore used in foreign Chinese teaching, at the same time, it analyzes both research situation of folklore used in textbook compilation and class teaching practice. Last chapter is strategy research, in which author’s advice of textbook compilation, class teaching and quality of teacher is raised. In last part, whole paper is summarized.
