Abstract This thesis studies the Veblen institutionalism wirh the historical background of the social change of the United States from the late nineteenth to early twentieth , and the breakthrough point is the core idea of the institutional change by Veblen.Research contents include the historical background,contents, main features and influence of Veblen institutionalism.
