安徽医 安徽医科大学硕士学位论文 PAGE PAGE 5 ultrasonography and its clinical value Abstract Objective To investigate the characteristics of breast neoplasms on contrast-enhanced ultrasonography and its clinical value. Materials and methods 225 female patients with breast masses unable to be diagnosed by conventional ultrasonography were examined with contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS). Their ages range were 12 to 85 years, the mean age was (45.8±17.6) years. 225 cases were investigated. For cases of multiple lesions, performed which was the highest classification level of BI-RADS; for the lesions of the same level, performed the largest lesion. The characteristics of these masses on CEUS were analyzed and compared with the results of pathology examination. All the fundamental ultrasound examinations were performed by the Siemens Sequoia Acuson512 or Philips iU22, which were matched with contrast pulse sequence (CPS）imaging technique. The frequency used in the mode of gray-scale US was 7 to 12MHz, with 4 to 8MHz in the modes of CEUS, respectively. Mechanical index(MI) was less than 1.5. The contrast agent(UCA) was SonoVue (Bracco，Italy). Dissolve the SonoVue power with 5ml saline, then dump the solution and inject it to patients body quickly(within 3 seconds) by the needle which was set in cubital vein, and inject 5ml saline to body. The process of CEUS was divided into three phases, early (after injection to 1min), medium-term (1 to 4min), late (4 to 6min). The characteristics of breast neoplasms on CEUS imaging were investigated from 6 aspects: lesions shapes, boundary of the enhanced lesions, features of the vessels, distribution of contrast enhancement/perfusion defect of contrast signals, local retention of contrast signals/the exporting of contrast signals from the lesions, maximum diameters of the lesions after injection of the contrast media. Two investigators blinded to sonographic findings made the assessment on the CEUS imaging data. Results 91 cases
