Senior high school is the best period to cultivate the humanism of the students and its education in Chinese class should be the main position. However, under the influence of examination-oriented education system, in senior high school, the evaluation of education depends too much on enrollment and the evaluation of the talent of students depends too much on marks, thus the cultivation of the humanism of the students has been overlooked and the basic education has been utilized. Classical texts of modern and contemporary Chinese is the one of the main contents of Chinese education of senior high school, and to penetrate humanism in the teaching of classical texts of modern and contemporary Chinese in senior high school is the need of humanity of Chinese course of senior high school as well as the need of the reform in Chinese education. In this paper, both the understanding of humanism and the ways to cultivate humanism in the teaching of classical texts of modern and contemporary Chinese in senior high school will be discussed. And the active reflection and expectation will be made according to the teaching practice of the author.
