1语言目标:学习动物、表达对动物的喜好并陈述原因以及它们的分布点。
2 技能目标:通过小组活动,练习学生的口头表达能力。
3 情感目标:学生通过谈论动物,让学生学习观察、关爱野生动物并珍爱大自然。
教学重点: 表达对动物喜爱的原因以及动物的分布。
教学难点: 提高学生口头表达的能力
教具: ppt blackboard chalk
教学过程:
Step 1 Warming up
Watch a movie about animals
Students say the names of animals they can see.
Step 2 new words
Now we are at the gate of the zoo. We can’t see any animals, but we can hear some of them. What animals can we hear? Listen and guess.
Lion tiger elephant koala panda giraffe
Step 3 presentation
Let’s learn about these animals. One word for one kind of animals.
For example:lions are cute .elephants are interesting ......
Step 4 Listening (1b)
Listen and check (√) the animals you hear in 1a.
Koala cute
panda interesting
Giraffe beautiful
Main sentenses :
---Let’s see pandas ---Why do you like them? ---Because they are interesting .
Step5 Listening(2a)
Listen and write the animals you hear. Draw a line from the animals to the description words and the countries they are from.

Step 6 Practice conversations

Step 7 activity (to be a guide )
Think you are a guide , introduce the zoo to your friends.
The teacher take an example for students , Then students act one by one.
E.g.
Guide : What animals do you like ?
A: I like pandas .
Guide : Let’s see pandas .why do you like pandas ?
A: Because they are cute.
Guide : Where are they from ?
A: They are from China.
Step 8 Writing (My favourite animal)
