AbstractAbstract Abstract Abstract ne practical network architectures in use all layered ones，TCP／IP is the mainstream network architecture used by Internet．ne original TCP／IP protocol suites were developed for narrow band based text data．With the flourish development of the global]nternet，the demands for better network performance increasing，and the conflicts caused by TCP／IP layered architecture emerging．In order to develop new network architecture tO meet the demand of network application people do many research aimed at the characteristic of nowadays network communication．To test new network architecture we need to model it．This thesis is about to model and analyse a new type of network architecture一-Service Unit based architecture． This thesis introduced new type of network architecture···-Service Unit based architecture，mainly analysed the characteristics，node modes，definition and the services provided by the Service Unit based architecture．T1le Micro Communication Element architecture was analysed too，The communications based on virtual circuit not only guarantee QoS but also support the security preferably of the network．Micro Communication Element architecture was based on virtual circuit and we did some research WOrk on it． And based OU it． we construct the idea of Two．．Time．．Handshake．．Virtual．．Circuit．Create and Six．Time．Handshake—．Virtual—Circ uit—free for the first time and analysed it carefolly．We came to conclusion that it’S correct and proper for Service Unit based architecture． ne mathematics definition and application scope of the Petri Net and Colored Pem Net were systematically introduced．We modeled and analysed the virtual circuit communication in Micro Communication Element architecture using CPN and CPN emunation tools and analysed the emunation and state space in detail for the first time．During the procedure we took new and more brief way to analyse and define the model．The model was more concise and more vailable than before and much easie
