南京邮电大学工程硕士研究生学位论文 南京邮电大学工程硕士研究生学位论文 Abstract II II Abstract With the continuous expansion of the network scope and increase of network application types and volumes, it has been widely accepted that the quantitative analysis for IP service is very important and being a fundamental system for network planning and optimization. Network traffic monitoring and analysis system can real-time monitor network traffic flows which provided detailed data for network planning, upgrading and maintenance. Besides that, traffic monitoring and analysis system presents a scientific and reasonable method to monitor and analyze network situation which in turn ensures customers with excellent performance, highly reliable, security, and stability of network services. This thesis presents s comprehensive study on traffic monitoring and analysis technology and its applications in Jiangsu Unicom Metropolitan Area Network (MAN). Firstly, this thesis presents a brief introduction of the background and SIGnificance of the subject. Then the principles, meanings and implementation technology of the traffic monitoring and analysis are given. Depending on the analysis of actual project in Jiangsu Unicom metropolitan area network, this thesis proposed a detailed construction plan and configuration strategy for traffic monitoring and analysis system.
