Three Trends of Teacher Culture and the Negative Influences on Teacher-student Relationship Abstract Teacher culture is defined as the way of thinking, the way of feeling and the way of doing, which are characters of most teachers. Teacher culture greatly influences teacher-student relationship. The author chooses three trends that are projecting in the teacher culture contents, respectively analyses the authoritarianism, the elitism, the efficiency and their influences on teacher-student relationship. From the cultural point, the author expects to enrich the research on teacher-student relationship and to help re-build harmonious teacher-student relationship. The trends of authoritarianism, elitism, efficiency in teacher culture have their causes of formation. They penetrate the teacher-student interactivity and give negative influences on teacher-student relationship .It leads to the coldness of teacher-student relationship, the long psychological distance between teacher and student, the utilization of teacher-student relationship, the different teacher-student relationship and so on. The author put emphasis on the display of the three trends and their influences on teacher-student relationship, summarizes the inner connections among the three trends, put forward the target of overcoming teacher culture and re-building teacher-student relationship.
