AbstractAbstract Abstract Abstract To study mass mesa，we cannot discuss any phenomenon without its relative social reality．So does the case of anchorman’S study．With further development of social refo皿as well as the advancement of industrialization and urbanization．China is at all accelerate moment of social transformation．The process of this comprehensive transformation is a profound reform of social condition,social structure and social culture attitude，which has a strong influence on social economy, politics and civilization．Transforming society is also a period of various social contradictions and problems．Therefore the proposal of constructing social harmony is iust a good prescription for this issue．During the constructive process of harmony society,as to realize the harmony of all kinds of development,conceptions and interests,mass media as well as its anchormen must play an important role． This article analyzes mass media’S historical mission from 0111country’S current reality of transforming society and the necessity of constructing harmony society, emphasizes the important roles and functions of anchormen,namely the‘face’of media,proposes the suggestion of building an anchorman contingent in accordance with harmony society．By the way,it is expected that the importance of anchormen in maSS media can deserve more recognition and the work of anchormen can be more satisfactoD,in order to achieve better social and economy benefit．To be more specific， anchormen should transmit theories of harmony society,form public opinion in favor of its construction．and orientate popular will for it through thc programs hosted by them．Moreover,anchormen ought to give fall play of their spedal roles and functions such as distinctive brands of media’S spokespersons,opinion leaders of the direction of public opinion,reminders of social risks，models of social conventions，builders of hezdthy culture．In doing SO，anchormen will have accomplished something in their mesa status and th
