摘要 摘要 PAGE PAGE III PAGE PAGE VI 本研究在关联理论的框架下，通过对杨静远《彼得·潘》中译本的分析，探讨了译者在 翻译过程中所扮演的角色。 本研究主要是基于关联理论，把翻译看成一个推理—明示的过程，在这个过程中，译者 承担的责任重大。本研究主要探析了《彼得·潘》中译本中译者的三种角色：(1)在准备阶 段，译者担任研究者角色。为了让她的翻译更易于读者接受，杨静远做了大量的准备工作， 确保读者的期盼与自己所要表达的内容和方式一致。(2)在推理阶段，译者担任受众角色。 《彼得·潘》作为文学，其翻译不仅要求保留原文的内容，而且要求保留原文的风格。杨静 远在翻译过程中，紧跟原文作者给出的交际线索，推断出原文作者的意图。（3）在明示阶段， 译者担任交际者角色。杨静远考虑到《彼得·潘》中译本的特殊受众群体，在翻译时十分注 重她与儿童之间的不同认知环境。 在关联原则的指导下，杨静远积极地扮演了以上的角色，不仅使译者的意图和读者的期 盼保持一致；而且使原文作者的意图和读者的期盼保持一致。 本文的重要性体现在两个方面：在理论上，关联理论可以解释而且适用于指导儿童文学 翻译；在实践上，关联理论提出的三种角色对译者翻译儿童文学作品的实践过程有指导作用。 关键词：《彼得·潘》；交际线索；认知环境；关联原则 Abstract The present thesis explores the role of the translator in the Chinese translation of Peter Pan in light of relevance theory. In relevance theory, translation is a process of inferential-ostensive communication, during which the translator shoulders great responsibility. This thesis examines three main roles the translator plays throughout the translation process: 1)The translator as a researcher in the initial stage of translation. In order to make her translation more successful, Yang Jingyuan—the translator has done adequate preparation to ensure that the expectation of her audience is in line with her intention and her translation principle and strategies. 2)The translator as an audience in the inferential process of translation. As a literature work, the translation of Peter Pan not only requires to preserve the content but also the manner how it is expressed. Yang has followed rigorously the communicative clues given out by the author and successfully catches the intention of the author. 3)The translator as a communicator in the ostensive process. Considering her special readership, Yang has taken the different cognitive environment between herself and children into account . By following the principle of relevance theory, Yang plays an active role in: (1) making her intention and the expectation of children meet; (2) making the intention of the author and the expectation of children meet.
