The The Situation of Quality and Safety of Vegetables and Study on the Development Strategy Gao Tao (College ofAgriculture，Guangxi University，Nanning 530004，China) Abstract How to evaluate the level of economic development in a country and how to regard the quality of people’S life，the most important thing is the quality safety of food．On this issue，the first of these is quality and safety condition of vegetables， because not only the vegetables are the most basic consumer goods in people’S daily life，but also it is decisive in the food consumption．Now due to rapid development of vegetable industry in Guangxi most of the farmers have more income and they are gradually out of poverty．After entering into the WTO，there is a lowout development of vegetables industry in all provinces in China．Due to the establishment and development of CHINA—ASEAN Free Trade Area，as well as the strategic adjustxnent of the agricultural economic structure development．all of these have created good conditions for the development of vegetable industry in Guangxi，but on this issue of ensuing quality and safety of vegetables exists some urgent problems that need to be solved． In this paper,the status of quality and safety of vegetables in Guangxi have been researched．First of all from the aspects of basic conditions，the development of the vegetables in Guangxi was detailed described，then of the development of vegetables were summed up since the establishment of the nation and on the basis of the analysis of the output，cultivated area and formation of industrial district，etc，and summarized the present situation of the development of vegetable industry in Guangxi，and then summarized the achievements as well as the existing problems of quality safety of vegetables，and by analyzing the problems and explore deeper problems and reasons， II 万方数据 put put forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions． In order to further improve the quality and safety of vegetables in Guangxi，the suggest
