PAGE PAGE 10 Clinical study on HuoXueHuaYuLiShui particles in treating lower extremity edema which caused by calcium antagonist ABSTRACT Objective: On the basic treatment of the HYPERLINK /dict_result.aspx?searchword=%e4%b8%ad%e8%a5%bf%e5%8c%bbamp;tjType=sentenceamp;style integrated chinese traditional HYPERLINK /dict_result.aspx?searchword=%e4%b8%ad%e8%a5%bf%e5%8c%bbamp;tjType=sentenceamp;style medicine and western medicine, we study HuoXueHuaYuLiShui(HXHYLS) treat hypertension and the ankles joint edema which caused by calcium antagonists，meanwhile，observe its clinical efficacy and mechanisms. Methods: These sixty cases were randomly divided into the treatment group (30 cases) and the control group(30 cases). Patients in the control group were given conversional western medical therapy, and patients in the treatment group were given HXHYLS and western medical therapy. The changes of clinical symptoms and laboratory indexes in all the patients were observd before and after treatment. Result: After treatment with different management, at the aspect of antihypertensive efficacy the total effective rate of the treatment group is 86.67%, but the control group is 73.33%, the treatment group is better than those of the control group(p0.05); at the aspect of improving clinical symptoms the obvious effective rate of the control group is 70.00%, while it of the control group is 46.67%, The treatment group was higher than the control group; Improvement in the ankle joint edema, The appearing rate of ankle joint edema in the treatment group is 0.06％, while it of the control group is 36.7％, the treatment group is significantly lower than the control group(p0.05); the result of TC,TG in post-treatment is significantly lower than in pre-therapy; the result of TC, TG in the treatment group is lower than the control group.
