II II Abstract Weeds is not a work for Lu Xun to indicate his despair, it is profound. It tells the natural meaning of humble lives at non-human and the secret to exist. It seems that the words in “Weeds” are various, but they are more power to lead lives towards existence which ought to be re-started. That likes finding the line of lives at the edge to die. It highlights the lofty and great of life in awe of the occasion to life. In the work of weeds, Lu Xun maintained more conscious than ever. The spirit of Weeds is to find reasons to exist and to find wisdom, giving the finite life with the ultimate concern. Other than literary value, Weeds has the quality of philosophy in particular. The philosophical spirit of “Weeds” is indicated by two factors: the times and ultimate concern. Weeds is a philosophy in the night and a symphony of dream and life. It indicates the meaning of life and nature of existence, from the life and death, body and soul, many already view and which ought to be re-started. Meanwhile, Weeds entangles the joy and misery, despair and hope, to reflect a rich and broad compassion. The paper analyzed the philosophical spirit of Weeds, and grasped the faith of Lu Xun to life. Weeds born with the spirit of life, and will go away with life. Between the ups and downs is a magic creation of the spirit. This highlights the spiritual power of subject, and be able to wake up which ought to re-started, freedom, independence and dignity. This is the wisdom of Lu Xun, but also era meaning of weeds.
