Abstract Vico is a great thinker of Italy , his research fields involved philosophy, history, law, education, and so on. His major works includes Denostri Temporis Sudiorum Ratione, De antiquissima italorum sapientia, Scienza Nuova ,of which the most famous is the Scienza Nuova .This work has established his status in the Western history, usually Vico is thought the founder of the West philosophy of history . This article is for the purpose of discussing his history thought in depth, focusing on the rule of the history development, relations between the human and God , the scientific elaboration of history and his thought origin and contemporary significance. Vico thought that the human history development is orderly. On the one hand, the history of the various nationalities in the world must experience three stages: God, Hero and Human. In the end of the person stage, there are several possibilities for the human history development, perhaps the powerful domestic dictatorship crowned head to save the tense situation, or the uncivilized nationalities’ invasion, if these both cannot be realized, God will rearrange the history to present these three stages again; on the other hand, various nationalities have the similar customs: Religion, marital ceremony, burying system and so on. Religion, marriage and burying system were taken three most important basic principles in his Scienza Nuova . He believed that the historical development is not only orderly, but also this kind of rule can be known by human. Vico believed that the God has the high unsurpassed status, is the creator of myriad things. because human is created by the God according to his own image, thus also has a certain creativity. The God can know what the god creates , thus the human can also know what the human creates ,like humanitys history. In his idea, the God’s intervention to the history is realized through the human, which is a kind of indirect intervention. The God intervenes the history through
