Teaching difficult points and important points To use the new phrases and to talk about family celebrations Teaching tools PPT, radio Teacher’s activities Students ’activities Aims Step1: Lead-in and warm up Ask the Ss to look at the pictures What is it about? Who attends the family celebration? How do they save the happy memories? The Ss look at the pictures One or two students answer the questions Motivate the Ss and lead in the new concept. Step2: New Concept: The Ss look at the pictures and learn the key phrases and expressions. Ask students to listen the passage and match the people with their main ideas. Read the passage and answer 5 questions. 第1题判断正误,第2题填空,第3,4题简略回答,第5题翻译 1. It’s never too late to start an album of family photos. ( ) 2. People always _______________ old pictures. 3.
