Ask the students to read and practice the dialogue in Activity ① on Page 86. II. Ask the students to read the dialogue in Activity ① again and work in pairs to make some dialogues about making requests in hotels. Examples: 1. another towel 2. another cup Reading presentation I. Present the three pictures of the hotels on Page 87. ask the students look at them and guess: What kinds of hotels they are? II. Tell the students they are going to learn about more interesting hotels. III. Ask the students to read the statements about the three hotels. Remind them to apply proper reading skills. Then answer the following questions: □What does the hotel which was once a prison look like? □ When does the hotel built with lots of ice and snow close? □ What can beer lovers do in the third hotel on Page 87? □ Which hotel do the students like the most? IV. Play the tape. Ask the students to read after the tape. Extension activity I. Ask the students to form into groups, and talk about their experience of living in hotels. II. Ask the students to choose the most special experience from their groups to present in class, and ask other students vote for the best one. 教学环节设计 Further activity I.
