【教材分析】Book3 module6阅读课
一、教学目标
1、知识与技能:围绕本单元模块的中心话题“THE THREE GORGES DAM” 一方面训练学生的阅读方法并掌握该阅读的文章大意;另一方面让学生掌握阅读文中所包含的一些语言知识。
2、过程与方法:在小组讨论的基础上,学生能独立完成一篇关于“THE THREE GORGES DAM” 的习得的短文或演讲或解说稿。
3、情感与价值:通过本节课学习,让学生对三峡大坝工程有更深入的了解,并且作为未来世界的建设者,对其渗透爱国主义教育和“环保意识”的教育理念,增强其对社会的责任感。
二、教学重点:帮助学生更好的理解文章;并掌握一些重要的语言知识。
三、教学难点:如何帮助学生更好地理解文章并学以致用。
四、教学过程:
主要通过多媒体课件来完成教学任务,以此增强学生听觉、视觉和感知能力,达到综合运用语言的能力。
STEP 1 Greeting Leading-in
Teacher: Hello everyone! My dear students,last class we have learned some important words in this module, I hope you can recall all of them and learn to use them in today’s lesson. Do u agree?
Students: Yes!
Teacher: Thanks. Let’s get started from the first word. Let’s read it together. let’s write them on the paper. Ok, since we clean the blocks of words, we will furthermore study the lesson. Who’d like to show us around the new place?
Ss1: Today I will take you to the famous man-made project—the three gorges dam, which will amaze you
Ss2: It’s the Three Gorges Dam. The three gorges dam, located at San Douping of Hubei Province, was built on the Yangtze River. The beautiful scenery always attract many tourists.For example, we travel downstream , Qutang Gorge , Wu Gorge
Xi Ling Gorge, Now we got to the top of the dam—Tan Ziling. I hope you will enjoy this journey and have a nice time together with us! I think you must be fascinated by the great dam, and today’s introduction comes to an end.

Teacher: Yes , that’s right. You are very clever and smart; thank you. Today we are going to learn Module6 Period2 The Three Gorges Dam. As we know, the dam is biggest construction project in China, which also draws attention from America.

STEP 2 Preparation for reading
Ask the students to find more words that interest them and use them to make up new phrases and sentences ,secondly,discuss the questions that the students may be interested in the Three Gorges Dam in Activity One with their partner.
