Moral objects: (1)The Ss can learn about the ways of getting to school in the US and China. (2)The Ss can learn how to get the correct answers by predicting before listening and catch the specific items in the conversation. (3)Make sure the Ss know that no matter how to get to school, safety is the first. (4) Learn about some western culture. II. Teaching foci 1. Key points: the means of transportation , the ways of transportation, “how questions” and their answers using the present tense 2. Difficult points: 1) Use different ways to show how to get to places. 2)“How far …?” and “How long…?”questions and their answers. III. Teaching procedures Preparation before class: play?a video “Let’s take a trip”to remind the Ss of the different means of transportation. Ask the Ss to watch with the question “How do they take a trip?” Step 1 Warming up A brainstorm: Give the Ss several seconds to get the Ss to think of as many transportation words as they can.
