Unit 7 Why do you like pandas?
Section A(1a-2c)
Ⅰ.Teaching objects
1. Knowledge objects:
(1) The students will be able to use the new words and patterns zoo , tiger , elephant , koala , panda , lion , giraffe ,cute , beautiful , scary,kind , Australia , south , Africa in their conversations.
(2) The students will be able to use the sentences to talk about the animals:
——Why do you like …? ——Because they are ….
——Where are they from? ——They are from ….
2. Ability objects:
(1)The students will be able to get the information by listening.
(2) The students will be able to talk about and write the animals they like.
3. Emotion attitude
Enable the students to love the animals and protect them.
Ⅱ.Important and difficult points:
The students will be able to call the animals in English.
The students will be able to talk about the animals they like and the reasons they like them.

Ⅳ. Teaching procedures:
Step 1. Lead-in
(Watch a short video about animals.)
T: What animals can you see in the video?
Ss: The tiger, panda,monkey...
T: Where can we see animals?
Ss: In the zoo.
T: Welcome to the zoo. (Introduce Julie and John)
Today we will have a trip in the zoo with them.
Step 2. Presentation
Learn the new words by pictures: tiger(s), elephant(s), koala(s), panda(s) , lion(s) , giraffe(s) ,cute , beautiful, smart, scary…
Guessing game: show the pictures and guess the animals.
Match the animals with the pictures. Check the answers.
Step 3. Listening
T: Julie and John are talking about the animals, what animals are they talking about? Listen and check (√) the animals they are talking about. (Check the answers)
Listen again and fill in the chart. Check the answers.
Listen and repeat.
Step 4. Pair work
Talk about the animals with your partner.
e.g.
A: Let’s see the pandas.
B: Why do you wan
