Ⅰ. Warm-up :Greeting.
Ⅱ. Lead-in
Lead in the topic according an unexpected thing happened in class :A student is late for class because his alarm clock didn’t go off .
T:Is everyone here today ?
Ss: No, S1 isn’t here .(At the same time , a student knocks at the door and comes in )
S1:Miss Liu , I’m sorry I’m late . I overslept because my alarm clock didn’t go off .
T: It doesn’t matter . Go back to your seat .Well, just like S1 ,life is full of the unexpected .Now let’s learn the new unit .And lead the students to read the topic twice .
Ⅲ.The past perfect tense
T:The whole day’s work depends on the plan in the morning ,so what do you usually do in the morning,can you tell me ?Ask the students spare their activities in the morning ,and at the same time the teacher writes down the phrases they told on the blackboard .
Show some pictures , revise and learn some phrases.And add the new phrases to the blackboard.
T:Now I’ll introduce a boy named Bill to you .Let’s look at what happened to him .
