T: My birthday is on Nov. 1st. When is your birthday? What do you usually do? Step 2: Presentation Tomorrow is Dick’s birthday. He will go to toy shop with his father. Guess, what does he want to buy? Listen to the tape, then answer the questions. What does Dick want to buy? What colour does Dick like? Yellow or blue? Answer the questions: He wants to buy a toy train. He likes the blue one. Listen again then answer the questions. How much is it? It’s fifty-six yuan. What does the saleswoman say? Can I help you? What does his dad say? How much is it? Step 3: Practice Read the dialogue in role. Women’s Day is coming. Many goods are on sale. Let’s look at the poster. What do you want to buy? How much are they? S1: Can I help you? S2: Yes, I want…. How much is it? S1: It’s …yuan. S2: We’ ll take it. S1: Here you are. S2: Thank you. Step 4: Work in groups. (ABCD) A: Tomorrow is my birthday. Here are my invitation cards for you. Would you like to come to my birthday party? B.C: Sure, I’d love to. Let’s prepare a gift for her/him. Let’s go shopping together. D: Can I help you?
