Teaching Equipment Computer Textbook Ss’ learning materials Teaching procedures Step 1 Lead-in(2’) Teacher ask students two questions. T: As we all know there are many famous scenic spot in China. Can you name some? S: The Great Wall. The Forbidden City..... T: Now, let’s enjoy some pictures and try to guess which tourist attraction it is. (Teacher show Ss some pictures about Tianchi ) S: It’s Tianchi. T: Whoever has been to this place before raise your hands please! And there is a passage written by a tour guide. It introduce this beautiful place to us. Let’s see how he made it. (Design purpose: In this part, through discussing the beautiful scenic spot in China, teacher draw student’s attention on the topic of this text------ Tianchi. Enjoying the beautiful picture of Tianchi will help teacher arouse students’ interest in learning this text. The emotional aims will be realized.) Step 2 Reading for Structure (10’) Teacher will give assignment to students. Students read the passage quickly to find the key words of each paragraph and find some detailed information about the text. T: The passage is made up of four paragraphs altogether, please read through the passage quickly and find the key word in each paragraph. You will be given two minutes. T: Now, time is up. Who
