定语从句教学设计
STEP1
师生互相了解(引出who和that在定语从句中的用法),正好学校分班,我所任教的半级里分来了一些我不认识的学生,正好可以利用这个机会互相了解
教师让学生用英语描述一位同学,教师根据学生的描述寻找这位学生,一这种方式与学生相识。
T: Good morning, every one ,today , let’s learn a very important grammar, attributive clause.
A month ago, some new students joined us, and, I don’t know your names exactly. Today, I will take this chance to know you, ok? Now, be careful ,when I call your name , please don’t move, and other students try to describe the student in English. And, I will try to find him or her quickly. Now ,let’s try the first one, who is ……
(2) 教师边听不同的学生的描述,边寻找被描述的同学,同时,适当板书学生锁描述的话语。如:
He is a boy.
He is very tall.
He is sitting 3rd row now.
He has long/short hair
He wears glasses
当教师找到这名学生后,启发学生降这些短句练成长句。教师先示范用定语从句中who,that练成这些句子,然后让学生总结规律并模仿黑板上的句子用关系代词连起来
T:Look,there are so many short sentences, on the blackboard.
Can you join them together to make a longer sentence?
(有的同学可能会想到用定语从句)
S:……
T: Yes very good.
……
T: He is a boy who is very tall.(教师擦掉第二个句子的主语he,替换为who)
We use ‘who /that’clause to describe a person. Now can you join the left sentences together, l just like I do ?
T: (走到某个同学跟前)Can you describe your desk mate, using attributive clause .
Step2
用一些带有定语的谜语,引出which和that的用法
T: Next, I will show you some riddles, try to guess the answer.
No.1,what is the day which/that comes after Monday?
Ss: Tuesday.
T: Yes, it is easy. What is the vegetable which/that can be made into French fries?
Ss: Potato.
T: What is the fruit which/that we often eat in summer?
Ss: watermelon
1)
T: Yes, it is also very, now I will show the most difficult one. Do you know the word which is the longest word in the world?
Ss: ……
T: It’s smiles
2)
T: Yes, it is also very, now I will show the most difficult one. What is the animal which/that can always be found in baseball games?
Ss:……
T: It’s a bat, a baseball bat.
(接着,给学生几分钟时间,让他们试编谜语,用which和that 模仿造句,
