PAGE PAGE 26 《苏菲的选择》的叙事艺术分析 摘要 威廉·斯泰隆，被誉为继海明威和福克纳之后最伟大的作家之一，其作品着力于再现人类历史中重要的历史时期或重大历史事件。他认为，通过再现可以获得对人类生存状态、人性、理性、道德等问题的深入了解。《苏菲的选择》是威廉·斯泰隆以纳粹大屠杀为题材的大屠杀反思文学作品,也被认为是一部在叙事上独具一格的文学作品。同时《苏菲的选择》还是美国当代小说的经典之作，被誉为“西方小说史上的里程碑作品”。目前对小说叙事方面的研究较少，且不够系统。本文主要研究这部小说的叙事艺术，探讨它精彩的叙事。 本文立足于叙事学的相关理论，研究《苏菲的选择》的叙事艺术。论文先从叙事视角的角度来阐述作者分别运用了两种不同的视角即：斯汀戈的自我成长视角和苏菲的回顾性视角来讲述小说的故事；然后研究小说的嵌入式叙事结构：作者将苏菲叙述的自身悲惨的经历嵌入在斯汀戈叙述的框架叙事之中，明确展示了他的写作目的。最后探讨小说中的叙事时间，现实的写作世界时间与虚构的回忆故事时间相结合来描写故事。通过这样的研究分析小说中作者构建的大屠杀的历史所传达出的深刻的历史意义,有助于对人类历史中践踏人性的恶行进行沉痛反思并且展望未来。还对将来更好地理解斯泰隆的文学思想有参考价值和帮助作用。 关键词：叙事视角；叙事结构；叙事时间 On the Narrative Art of Sophie’s Choice ABSTRACT William Styron is regarded as one of the greatest writers after Hemingway and Faulkner. His works focus on the reproduction of important historical period or important historical events in human history. He believes that deep understanding of the state of human existence, human nature, reason, moral and other issues can be obtained through the reproduction. Sophies Choice is William Stallones Holocaust reflection literature in the theme of the Nazi Holocaust. It is also considered as an unique literary work in narrative. At the same time, Sophies Choice is a classic work of American contemporary novels, which is regarded as “a milestone in the history of Western Fiction”. At present, there are few researches on the narrative aspect of the novel, and they are not systematic enough. This paper studies the narrative art of the novel, to explore it’s wonderful narrative . The paper, based on related theories of narrative, studies the narrative art of Sophies Choice. The paper starts with the narrative perspective’s angle to illustrate the two different perspectives author used：Stingo’s self-growing perspective and Sophie’s retrospective perspective to tell the story of the novel; then studied the embedded narrative structure of the novel: the author embedded the tragic experience of Sophie narrated in the frame narrative Stingo narrated, showing his purpose of w
