I Analysis of teaching materials and students

Status and function:The teaching content is Unit 2Module 4 for the first term Grade 9 students,which is published by Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press.This module mainly talks about”My perfect holiday”which is about Zheng Chenyu’s experiences when he was home alone.This unit plays a great part in Module4.It is helpful to improve students’ reading and speaking ability.Reading belongs to input during the process of learning English and speaking belongs to the output in it.
Analysis of students:Students in Grade 9 have learned English for many years and they can understand the simple passage. At the same time,they are curious about the topic”home alone life”.Some students are brave to answer the questions but some are not.I will try my best to encourage students to answer the questions.I believe my students will learn the new knowledge step by step and enjoy themselves.
II Teaching aims
1.Knowledge objects: Enable students to perceive and understand some key words and phrases about the topic.
2.Ability objects:Enable students to retell Zheng Chenyu’s “perfect holiday” and make a report about how to look after themselves when home alone.
3.Emotion objects:Enable students to develop their sense of independence and show their love towards parents.
III Teaching important and difficult points
Important points:The first is to enable students to understand the passage and find specific information to retell Zheng Chenyu’s perfect holiday.The second is to enable students to make a report about their own home alone life according to the given structure.
