Students will be able to recognize letter r and write the letter properly, (in lowercase anduppercase). Students will be able to blend words containing the sound /r/ and other sounds they learned with fully understanding the meaning of words in the context. Students will be able to identify the /r/ sound in words. (Teacher may speak Chinese when necessary.) This is Roberts mum. She says to her son, Robert, “Go to your room and fetch the ragged blanket!” Robert goes into his room and sees the ragged blanket in the dogs mouth. Robert tries to take away the blanket, but the dog grips the blanket with his teeth. The dog shakes its head (做动作)making a /rmrrr/ sound. Who can act the dog? Who can act Robert?(准备一块 干净的破毯子，让两个学生表演，可以设计几句对 话) Ask students to work in pairs like Robert and the dog. Make sure they make the sound /rrrrrrrr/.
