This period is focused on grammar of this unit.Activity 1 presents four groups of sentences and leads the students to think about the different meanings and functions of past participle and -ing form as predicate and adverbial. Activity 2 choose the correct verb and complete the sentence with its proper form. Activity 3 focus on the use of past participles and adverbials, ask the students to rewrite the sentences, in the process of rewriting need to add necessary information.

Knowledge objectives: To grasp and use the past participle and the use of the -ing form.
Skill objectives: Be able to compare the use and function of the past participle with the -ing form (as predicate, attribute, adverbial, etc.);
To correctly understand and use the two non-predicate forms in the context.
Emotional objectives: Through the comparison of grammatical structures, we can deeply understand
the culture of our country and other countries, and improve cross-cultural
understanding and communication skills.
Thinking quality objectives:To understand idioms with context and background knowledge, and master communicative strategies for ending a conversation naturally..

Sum up:过去分词和动词-ing形式作谓语
