Warm-up Greetings: Greet the students with a cheerful “Good morning, everyone.” Review: Review the previous vocabulary words by playing a vocabulary word game or by asking questions such as “What is this?” and “What is that?” 2. Presentation Introduce the new vocabulary words for this lesson by presenting and pronouncing them one by one. Show pictures of school items and point to them as they are introduced. Review the vocabulary words by asking students to repeat them after you. 3. Practice Listening: Play an audio clip of a conversation between two students asking and answering questions about what items they have and their ownership. Speaking: Ask students to form pairs and practice the questions in the conversation. Role-playing: Divide the students into two groups and ask them to take on the roles of student A and student B respectively. They should practice speaking the questions and answers. 4. Production Writing: Distribute copies of the transcript of Lesson 26 and ask students to read it aloud. Speaking: Ask students to describe their school bags and ask their classmates if the school bags belong to them by using the vocabulary words they learned. Group work: Divide the students into small groups and ask them to do a presentation on the school items they have. Encourage them to use as many vocabulary words as possible. 5. Assessment Listen to students’ presentation and assess their understanding of the vocabulary words.
