一、教学目标
掌握本课时的英文单词和表达;
能够听懂、会说并运用句型“How many… do you have?”和句型“I have…”;
能够用英语表述自己和他人拥有的宠物;
能够运用“how many”和“many”来询问和回答数量。
二、教学重点
掌握本课时的英文单词和表达;

四、教学过程
1. Warm-up
Greetings: Good morning/afternoon, boys and girls!
Sing the song “How are you today?” together.
2. Review
Play a game “Simon says” with the students. Use the vocabulary they learned last time as the commands.
Review the sentence structure “I have a…” and “Do you have a…?” with the students.
3. Presentation
Show pictures of different pets on the screen, and ask the students to name them together.
Introduce the new words “cat”, “fish”, “bird”, “guinea pig”, “hamster” and “turtle” by showing the pictures and saying the words.
Teach the sentence structure “How many… do you have?” and “I have…”.
Use flashcards to practice the new words and sentence structures. Let the students repeat after the teacher.
4. Practice
In pairs or small groups, let the students ask and answer questions using the new sentence structures and words they have learned.
Help the students correct their mistakes and encourage them to keep practicing.
5. Extension
Play the game “The pet shop”.
Let the students draw pictures of their own pets, and talk about them using the new vocabulary and sentence structures they have learned.
6. Summary and Homework
Summarize the key points of the lesson with the students.
Assign the homework: Ask the students to write down a short paragraph about their pets using “I have…” and “How many… do you have?”.
五、教学评估
Observe the students’ participation in class activities;
Judge whether the students have grasped the new vocabulary and sentence structures based on their answers to questions and performance in the game;
Evaluate the students’ final written paragraphs about their own pets.
