Abstract
The continuously increasing price of medicine and medical expenses in recent
years has brought heavy burden on both patients and the medical and health system of
the State, and has become a hot topic and a popular concern of all people. Meanwhile,
it is also a momentous problem that our government has been trying to solve.
The medicine is a special kind of commodity and the price of it involves various
direct interests, such as economic system, medical system, producing and circulating
system of medicine, social welfare mechanism and market mechanism, which make it
more difficult to regulate the price of medicine.
This paper begins with the particularities of economic attribute of medicine that is
different from other merchandises and elaborates the necessity and feasibility of
regulating the price of medicine. Based on relative policies and measures of
administrating the price of medicine in our country, the paper takes Guangzhou as a
specific research subject, and analyzes the main problems in present medicine
