The foods were slowly sent to the tables, a lady who was the first time attend to the banquet could not help asking me that did the Chinese people treat others so much food? I said that we treated others with much more than that. She was surprised then said the Chinese foods were various, no wonder China was famous for the food. But for a while, she asked me why was the Chinese people not fat? While the France ate a few dish, why were they fat then Chinese people? I could not answer it. But I thought that she asked was reasonable. Then I told some ideas: Chinese people is hospitable, it is polite to treats others with plenty of food . In addition Chinese people pay more attention to the form, so Chinese dishes are diversified, devote particular care to the match. While the Europeans seem to be more practical, pay less attention to the styles of the dishes. But they devote particular care to the collocation of nutrition. This is an important difference in the concept of diet. Chinese and western diet in the idea, the etiquette, content and so on the differences, can be found on from cultural roots.
