Genitalia in both male and female, including phallus, paramere and spermatheca, are figured. Specimens used in this research are deposited in the Insect Museum of Henan Institute of Science and Technology, Xinxiang, Henan, China. Key words: Hemiptera; Pentatomidae; Carbula humerigera; adult; morphology CLC number: Q969. 35+ 1.6 Document code: A Article ID: 1000-7482(2012)02-0176-05 辉蝽成虫形态学研究（半翅目：蝽科）常蒙蒙，李海花，石秀红，崔建新① 河南科技学院资源与环境学院，河南新乡 453003 摘要：对辉蝽Carbula humerigera （半翅目：蝽科）的成虫进行了重新描述，提供了辉蝽雌雄两性的外生殖器，包括雄虫的阳茎、抱器及雌虫受精囊的绘图或照片。关键词：半翅目；蝽科；辉蝽；成虫；形态学 Introduction Carbula Stål is an important genus in the Pentatomidae, with 76 known species in the world and 14 known species in China (Hua 2000; Rider 2012). Carbula Stål was established in 1865. In 1860, Uhler named Pentatoma humerigera, and gave the original description. In 1881, Reuter again set up this species as a new species, Carbula obtusangula and this name was followed by Hsiao et al. (1977). Rider et al. (2002) synonymized it with Carbula humergira. Chen (1985) redescribed the adult of this species and described the 1, 3, and 5 instar nymphs as well as the egg. Zhang Zheng (2002) reported that this species has the typical number of 14 chromosomes for the family Pentatomidae and an X-Y sex chromosomal mechanism. The host plant of this stink bug includes soybean, rice, Lespedeza bicolor , Mucuna reticulate (He et al. 1992; Chen 1985). Received date: 31 Mar. 2012 ①Corresponding author,
