Using noun phrases to indicate time. e.g. It is five past one. Asking ‘wh’ questions to find out time. e.g. What time is it? 教学媒体 Clockface with movable hands, etc 课前学生准备 English book, listening to the text. 教学流程 Pre-task preparation Daily talk. Review time Say: Today I will introduce you a musical clock. While-task procedure Play the cassette: Look and read. The students listen and follow in their books. Invite different groups of students to read a line of the rhyme. All the students read the last line: What time is it? Working in groups, the students practise the rhyme. Look at the clockface. Ask: What time is it? Play the cassette: Read and say. The students listen and repeat. Working in pairs, the students take turns to point to different clockfaces and to read the times. Invite different pairs to read the times on the clockfaces aloud. Read: Point, ask and answer. Write the model dialogue on the board.
