Application and nursing of enteral nutrition pump
in elderly patients with nasal feeding

ABSTRACT: O jective To observe the effect and n rsing strategies of enteral n trition s p-
port for elderly patients w ith enteral n trition p mp. Methods Ninety elderly patients w ith enteral
n trition s pport were randomly divided into three gro ps. The experiment gro p received enteral
n trition s pport with enteral n trition p mp while the control gro ps received syringe intermittent
perf sion and enteral n trition device intermittent inf sion, respectively. The complications among
the three gro ps were observed and n rsing strategies w ere s mmarized. Results T he incidence
rate of complications was significantly low er in the experiment gro p than in the control gro ps.
Conclusion Enteral n trition p mp treatment combined w ith effective n rsing meas res can im-
prove the effect of enteral n tritional s pport and red ce the incidence rate of complications.
