GRAMMAR 时间状语从句和让步状语从句 【归纳】 ▼时间状语从句 1. when，， (1) when引导时间状语从句时表示当……的时候，从句中既可用延续性动词可用非延续性动词如： I’ll call you when I get there. When the wind blows, all the doors rattle. When I came home, my wife was cooking dinner. (2) while引导时间状语从句时表示在……期间，它强调主句的动作与从句的动作同时持续地进行，从句和主句中的谓语动词必须是延续性动词主句的动作发生在从句动作的进行过程中，主句中的谓语动词通常是非延续性动词如： Study while you study; play while you play. I met her while I was at school. (3)as引导时间状语从句时表示 “当……时， 一边……一边……”， 侧重表示两个动作同时发生包括一个主语同时进行两个动作， 或者一种动作随着另一种动作的变化而变化。如：He jumps as he goes along. As the wind rose the noise increased. As spring warms the good earth, all flowers begin to bloom. 2. until / till 在肯定句中表示“做某事直至某时”，主句动词必须是延续性的。在否定句中表示“直至某时才做某事”, 主句动词延续性非延续性。如： 肯定句：Wait till I call you. 否定句：She didn’t arrive until the show began. 3. 表示“一……就……”的结构： as soon as和hardly ... when, no sooner ... than都可以表示“一……就……”。如： As soon as I got home, it began to rain. = I had hardly got home when it began to rain. = I had no sooner got home than it began to rain. 4. since / ever since since / ever since表示自从……以来，since / ever since引导时间状语从句They have been friends ever since they were in primary school. What have you been doing since I last saw you? 5. 引导时间状语从句的词或短语还有：immediately, after, before, the moment, by the time等。如： Soon after we joined the motorway, the car started to make a strange noise. Before we make a decision, does anyone want to say anything else? He said he’d phone you the moment he got home. By the time you get there the meeting will be over. ▼让步状语从句? 1. though, althougheven though, even if 都可表示“即使，虽然引导让步状语从句， 主句不用but，但可用yet / still。如： Though he is very old, yet he works very hard. Even though he left school at 16, he still managed to become Prime Minister. 2. as和though都表示“尽管”，引导让步状语从句时必须倒装，即将形容词、副词、名词或实义动词提到句首。如： Poor as he is, he is happy. 3. while表示“尽管”，可引导让步状语从句，但一般要位于句首。如： While I like the color, I don’t like the shape. 4. whether ... or ... 表示不管……还是……让步状语从句。如： Whether you believe it or not, it is true. . “no matter + 疑问词”或“疑问词 +
