东北林业人学颂l：论文 Abstract Good breeds，forestation types，site conditions，environmental factors，management measures and yield benefit of commercial poplar stands in east and mid-west of Jilin province were surveyed and analyzed by either random sampling method or fixed sampling method． The growth and fruiting of living korean pine in the optimal plantations were also surveyed． Based on the analysis，six problems，including good species’selection for commercial stands， right site conditions，scientific planting types，management techniques for good yield，benefit analysis and investment on commercial stand development and its countermeasures were discussed． Good breed selection is the key for the plantation of commercial stands，concerning the ecological and biological characters ofspecies and its good virtues showed in the practice．The standards of good breed selection are fast growing,good yield，strong resistance to adversity, good wood quailty．Good fruiting must be taken into account in the good breed selection of korean pine． Right site selection is an important step in the commercial stand silviculture．In the east， areas with low slop，high fertility and altitude600m are the right sites，while in the mid-west， tile right sites are plain，helpful for mechanized farming，high fertility,near water sources or with plenty groundwater． The right planting type selection Can speed the growth of trees．When planting commercial poplar stands，measures as proper site preparation，planting with big holes， watering and fertilizing are necessary．Some new techniques also can be adopted．The planting of korean pine should begin at the early spring，with site preparation in big holes．The renovation must be under the canopy． The management technique is crucial for the development of commercial poplar stands． After the analysis of the relationship between the growth and fruiting and some factors including good seed，strong seedling，site conditions，planting density,site preparation， pruning，fertility,wea
