2、拓展中国部分城市的英文别称及气候情况,能写出扬州四季的天气。
3、熟练描述不同地区的气候,培养学生阅读理解的能力。
4、通过季节与天气,培养学生保护地球的热情。

1. Lead--in
T: Spring is a colourful season in our city. Look at our blackboard, it’s also colourful. Every colour stands for each season. Today we’re going to review the topic of seasons. Please follow me: Revision Unit 5 The seasons.
S: Revision Unit 5 The seasons.
T: Please read it together.
设计意图:教师把课题贴在黑板上,学生齐读课题。让学生明白这节课是一节关于季节的复习课。
2. Review four seasons
T: How many seasons are there on the blackboard.
S: There are four.
T: What are they?
S: They’re spring, summer, autumn and winter.
T: We have known every colour stands for each season. What does green stand for?
S: It stands for spring.
T: Why do you choose spring? You may answer me: Because…
设计意图:教师把句型:Why? Because…贴在黑板上,让学生根据这个句型来回答问题。此处让学生熟练运用句型,培养在生活实际中与别人正确交谈的能力,同时也复习了本单元的四会句型。
S: Because the trees turn green and the flowers start to come out.
T: Yes, very good. What does red stand for?Why?
S: It stands for summer. Beacause the weather is very hot.
T: Wow, you’re very clever. What about yellow?
S: It stands for autumn.
T: Why do you think of it?
S: Beacause the trees turn yellow.
T: OK. The trees turn yellow and the leaves start to fall. So autumn has another name. We call it fall. Please follow me: fall.
S: Fall. Read the words three times.
T: Autumn is also a harvest season. Farmers like this season very much. Autumn equals fall. The two words are the same meaning. Are you clear?
S: Yes.
T: How about white? Why?
S: It stands for winter. Because sometiomes it’s snowy.
T: Excellent! The snow is white, so white stands for winter.
