They eat a lot of beef in England . 在英国他们吃许多牛肉。So do we . 我们也吃。 so do we是一个倒装句，其中we 是主语，so代替上文所提到的内容以避免重复。do是助动词，do要随其后面的主语人称发生变化，助动词的时态要取决于上句中谓语动词的时态。例如： （1）She likes swimming . So do we . 她喜欢游泳。我们也喜欢。 （2）I’ll go to Beijing next Sunday . So will my mother . 我下星期天去北京。我母亲也去。 （3）He is a league member . So am I . 他是个团员。我也是。 2. Could you pass me the cheese , please ? 请你递给我些乳酪好吗？ A. 短语pass sb sth = pass sth to sb 意为“把某物递给某人”pass是可带双宾语的动词，指人的为间接宾语，指物的为直接宾语，类似的动词常用的还有give , bring , show , send , lend , return , take等。若间接宾语在直接宾语后，间接宾语前使用介词to。 例如：give sb sth → give sth to sb；show sb sth → show sth to sb； lend sb sth → lend sth to sb等。 还用一些带双宾的动词，间接宾语提前后，使用介词for，常用的动词有buy , make , mend , draw , sing get等。例如： （1）Could you bring it to school ? 你能把它带回学校吗？ （2）Will you sing an English song for us ? 你能给我们唱支英语歌曲吗？ （3）Did you return the book to the library yesterday ? 你昨天把那本书还给图书馆了吗？ B. 在表示请求的疑问句中，常用could来代替can以表示礼貌，委婉或不确定的语气，此时不能把could看成can的过去时态。 3. It seems that American fast food is the most popular in the world . 美国快餐好像是世界上最流行的食物。 seem用作系动词，意为“似乎，看来” A. seen +形容词，或名词 作表语 例如： （1）He seems quite happy . 他似乎很高兴。 （2）He seems a very clever boy . 他似乎是个很聪明的男孩。 B. seem +不定式 （3）His temperature seems to be all right . 他的体温看来很正常。 （4）They seem not to know each other . 他们似乎相互不认识。 C. It seems / seemed that +句子 （5）It seemed that he knew the news . 他好像知道这个消息。 4. You can find people eating hamburgers and chips . 你会发现人们在吃汉堡包和炸土豆条。 A. find+宾语+名词/形容词 作宾补，意为“觉得，发现”。例如： （1）I found the book very interesting . 我觉得这本书很有趣。 （2）We all find him a clever student . 我们都发现他是个聪明的学生。 B. find sb doing 发现某人正在干某事，现在分词作宾补。 （3）They found her reading something aloud . 他们发现她在大声的读着什么。 类似的动词有see , hear , watch , feel , keep , get , have等都可以用动词的ing形式作宾补。 （4）The boss kept them working all day . 老板让他们整天工作。 5. Either my father or my mother cooks dinner on weekdays . 在平时不是我爸做饭就是我妈做。 either … or意为“不是……就是，或者……或者”是并列连词，可连接各种成份。例如：
