On 22nd November, we went to visit the fire station, here in Barbastro, 15 minutes walking from our school. FIRE STATION TRIP Segundo - Colegio Altoaragón January 2013 We were 60 children because in our school there are three 2nd level classes. We saw the firefighting truck. We tried on the firemen ′s helmet. We went for a drive in the firefighting truck. We used the firemen ′s hose and we made rainbows. It was a sunny day. We learned a lot of things about the firemen: They extinguish the fire. They help to rescue people, animals, cars… in accidents. They help in flood or poison gas escapes. They train in their gym and they mend and tidy up the material. They are on guard, also at night. We have to phone 112 to call the firemen. We are Second A Class and Ma José, the teacher. We like reading your messages at English lessons. We are Second C Class and Pilar, the teacher. We enjoy reading your messages at English lessons, too. Second A , B and C class want to know: Do you celebrate the Peace Day or another special day or week at your school? We are preparing: *The Peace Day, the 30th of January *A Cultural week about Music, the first week of March. Write soon!
