Abstract： TheCOOrdinated developmentofeconomy andresource—environmentISthe key method of
sustainabledevelopment．Basedonthedefinitionofcoordinateddegree，themodelofcoordinateddergeeand
themodelofdynamiccoordinateddergee，theauthorscalculatehtevalueofcoordinateddergeeanddnyamic
coordinateddergeeofeconomicdevelopmentandresource-·environmentinShaanxiprovincefrom 1993-2·005
respectively， by usingprincipalcomponentanalysismethod and calculating the index ofeconomic
development，theindexofresource·environment，thecoordinateddergeeanddny amiccoordinateddergeeas
wel1．Theresultsshow：11hteindexofeconomicdevelopmentincreasedrfom 0．063in1993to0．699in2005
andhadsignificantcorrelationwiht allhteindicators； 21 theindexofresource—enviromn entincreasedrfom
0．180toO．635，mainlyresultedrfom thegoingintoproductionoftheenergyandchemicalbaseinnorthern
ShaanxiProvince；3)thevalueofcoordinateddergeewentuprfomO．269in1993to0．815in2005，hteindex
ofeconomicdevelopmentfrom 1993to2000waslowerthanthatofresource—environment， theeconomic
index in2001washigherthanresource—enviromn entindex， theeconomicindexfrom 2003to2005was
alwayshigherthanresource—enviromn entindex； 4、 thevalueofcoordinateddergeeduringthisperiodhad
experiencedthreestages：thedisorder·recessiondevelopmentsatgerfom 1993to1995，thebarelycoordination
