Methods 38 cases of MND patients and 19 healthy persons reaction to F-wave frequency, the same and different shapes by the F-wave frequency response, F-wave latency, motor nerve conduction velocity (MCV) and sensory nerve conduction velocity (SCV) to detect and compare the analysis. Results case group was F-wave response to the frequency of median nerve and ulnar nerve were 15.1% and 27.8%, significantly lower than the control group (U = 89.86 and 58.91, P = 0.00); case group median nerve and ulnar nerve F-wave appeared the same shape rates were 65.7% and 72.8%, was significantly higher (U = 47.29 and 70.47, P = 0.00); case group median nerve and ulnar nerve F-wave latency was significantly longer than the control group (t = 3.70 and 4.91, P = 0.00); median nerve and ulnar nerve MCV were significantly decreased (t = 4.98 and 2.45, P = 0.00 and 0.01), while SCV no statistically significant difference between the two groups (t = 0.96 and 0.50, P = 0.17 and 0.31). Conclusion F-wave frequency response testing to the diagnosis of MND and to determine degree of injury can provide an objective basis for electrophysiology.
