 PAGE \* MERGEFORMAT 7 Fixation and artificial joint replacement of femoral neck fractures in elderly patients with clinical observation 【Abstract】 Objective To compare the artificial joint replacement surgery with the AO compression screw hollow elderly patients with displaced femoral neck fractures. Will be in May 1995 ~ November 2004 admitted to our hospital, 78 patients aged 65 years or more are displaced femoral neck fracture patients retrospectively, the patients were divided into A, B groups, A group of artificial joints replacement group, B group AO compression screw hollow treatment group. AO compression hollow screw for the treatment group (internal fixation group) followed up for 12 to 91 months, an average of 41.7 months follow-up of artificial joint replacement group of 12 to 96 months, an average of 40.3 months. Results According to Harris scoring criteria, A postoperative good rate 82.9%; B group fixation rate of 57.1% excellent. The incidence of long-term postoperative complications A group 19.5%; B group was 42.9%. Conclusion of artificial joint replacement surgery and AO compression screw hollow treatment of senile femoral neck fractures are an effective method, but the artificial joint replacement surgery can improve the quality of life of older persons to reduce the incidence of postoperative complications, so the effect of artificial joint replacement better than the AO compression screw hollow.
