Methods The optimum extraction parameters were investigated by one-factor experiment and orthogonal design. The content of total flavonoids was determined by spectrophotometry. Results The optimum parameters were as follows: Na2CO3/Na2B4O7 content 4% (W / W), particle size D95 ≤ 37 μ m, 20% (V / V) ethanol, solid / liquid ratio 1:60 (g: ml). Under these parameters, the total flavonoids yield increased by 13.2% compared with heat-reflux extraction.
