Methods arterial approach in 11 elderly patients with spontaneous carotid cavernous fistula embolization patients, application of rotational DSA and three-dimensional blood vessel reconstruction to find fistula using detachable balloon, electrolytic detachable coil (GDC), and other materials lesion side of the cavernous sinus thrombosis, and occlusion of the fistula. after 6 to 24 months for all 11 patients underwent cerebral angiography review. balloon and the results of 9 cases of fistula in patients with GDC embolization angiography showed the fistula immediately after complete occlusion, 2 cases of ipsilateral internal carotid artery occlusion without recurrence. Conclusion rotational DSA and three-dimensional vascular reconstruction in cooperation with embolization of spontaneous carotid-cavernous fistula elderly is a safe and effective treatment.
