Its serum proteinshavebeenstudiedquiteextensively,aswhentheyaretakenup into the organism of another animal they represent antigens themselves. In this work, an attempt was made to isolate some frog serum proteinsandtoinvestigatetheelectrophoreticqualitiesoftheisolated components (electrophoresis on agar gel and immunoelectro- phoresis). IgGwasisolatedusingthesameprocedureappliedforhuman seraandoneofthecomponentsfoundinthebetaglobulinzonewas isolated from frog serum by the same procedure. Immunoelectro- phoreticanalysis,carriedoutwiththefullantiserumofarabbit,obtained by immunisation of the rabbit with the frog serum, showed that the isolatedcomponentwaspure. The obtained results confirm the fact that there are no slow gammaglobulinsinthefrogserumandpointoutthatthisprocedure, used for isolating human IgG class, is also suitable for isolating one protein component from the serum of the frog, which has the electrophoreticspeedofbetaglobulinandwhichmayrepresentone categoryoffrogimmunoglobulins.
